Well, this is a major bummer. I was told in February that it would be the 3rd Saturday in August and made plans accordingly. I can't make it down for the 28th. I was really looking forward to seeing everyone.
I hope there's good conditions for the tourney and that it's a great success. I'm looking forward to seeing pictures.

You and me both! We booked a trip to Yellowstone and the Tetons for that weekend with the plan to have AOTD on the 3rd Saturday, a bit of a bummer but I am sure there's a good reason for it all.

That's unfortunate. We'll miss you guys. I wasn't involved in the planning of this event.

It's your year, Paul!

I have one of these waterproof phone bags. They work great. Hang the lanyard around my neck, takes good pictures & keeps the phone dry.

These fish clips are heavy duty, good quality stainless steel.

Two catch bags. I've got one of these also. It gets a lot of use.

It was a tough day of fishing this year. A few brave souls dared to exit the bay, but they weren't out there for long. Small ball inside the bay would decide the champ. People poked and prodded the kelp beds and nooks for perch, greenling and rockfish.
In the end it was:
James in 3rd @ 431 pts. (3 species)
Evan in 2nd @ 476 pts. (3 species)
Stephen in 1st @ 571 pts (4 species) :hello2: :headbang:
Thanks to the volunteers, competitors and sponsors who helped raise almost $2,100 for the North Oregon Coast and Portland HOW Chapters.
See ya'll next year!

Congratulations to all 3 of them for a tough battle!
