Go for it Kard................that'll get your juices flowing...........
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

It's rodeo time!  I am afraid its going to miss us here in Southcentral Alaska.

Too bad I wasn't at our facilities in Adak.  Yesterday they were calling for 65knot winds and seas 38ft!!  Now tell me that wouldn't be a BLAST (IF you knew you would survive...emphasis on IF).

I think the biggest concern with this weather system is if it dumps snow on us and it makes the driving too hazardous.  With Veterans day off I think my choices:

Upper Kenai River - Big Bows and char.  Maybe a coho but the season is over.
Homer is calling for 5 to 7 ft over the weekend ..ugh
Seward and whittier 2 to 3 ft but nobody including me knows how to catch fish this time of year out there.  Tempted to try this as it would be HISTORIC if I caught anything of any substance.

What I am likely to do at least one day is take my kids ice fishing.  4 to 6 inches of ice already on the smaller lakes north of us.

Thanks for the heads up!!!!!

Oh...does it count towards my AOTY points if I catch something through the ice and I am sitting in my kayak?  Judges...ruling please!  HAHAHA...

I sort of gave up as I couldn't keep a few key species.  But I got it figured out for next year though!!!!

Does it surprise you to know you're not the first to ask, or even do this?  Pisco Sicko did it, and as I recall, we docked him points.   >:D  So ... have at it.

Oh...

Has anyone used their kayaks as a sledding platform? That might be fun.

And no it doesn't surprise me with this bunch. Love it!

I have used my 18' Cataraft a few times sledding, it is fast but a pain in the arse to push up a hill. It looks like a 747 whenits going down the hill. Its alot easier when you lash the tubes together then hold on for dear life!
