Volunteers? Sportsmen's Show Feb. 10-14

Little Cos and I will be volunteering in the booth on Saturday from 10am-noon.

On the eve of the last day of the show we want to say thank you to all of the nice folks that made time to come and volunteer. My voice is a little gravelly from all the talking about the HOW mission, but in years past it's already gone by now, so we know we are growing!

Thank you also to Next Adventure for donating the raffle prize of a guided trip for two. It's been a smash hit!

Thank you to all the NWKA folks that volunteered at the show this year. We had a great turnout. Thanks to everyone who stopped by the booth and especially the service members who expressed interest in participating and or pledged kind words of support to our chapter.

Three more loud cheers go out to our generous friends at Next Adventure Paddle Sports Center for donating a Guided Kayak Fishing Trip for 2 that was raffled off to benefit our chapter.‬

As the show ended our Equipment Manager Derick shook the jar one last time and one of our Veteran fishing buddies Chris pulled the raffle winner. It was Don from Gresham.

As luck would have it Don was not just one of the thousands of passers-by, he is an injured Veteran and came to our booth to sign up for our event invite list and he decided to take a shot at the raffle. Congratulations Don we hope you and a friend enjoy the kayak fishing trip and thanks again Next Adventure.
