We have 10 people signed on so far for AOTY 2023.  Fish entries are picking up and it's becoming competitive.  If you need a little motivation to go out and start fishing, you're already 6 fish and 860 points behind kemfish.;)

Need more motivation?  Check out Nobaddays all time species leading bull char!  Congratulations.

Have a great year everyone and bring your A game.  I think competition will be fierce.  I'm off to register and start trying to catch up.

I think that bull trout could've eaten all my fish except the bass.  It kind of looks like it may have a couple 150 point Kokanee in it.

Thanks, it was really fun to catch.  My previous biggest was 27” so it way exceeded that.  I’m really glad I had Oneflyguy with me to take the photo.  Otherwise I don’t know how I would have managed.
Being retired, they pay me when I go fishing, therefore I am kind of a professional fisherman.

I'm surprised there are any Kokes left in the lake.  Thanks to OFG for taking the shot....time for a new picture of the month?

Very impressive. Looks like you guys had a wonderful day. It's blowing hard and snowing out here now, so you struck when the iron was hot, as they say!

Awesome fish! It’s a bummer they don’t fight 😉

Congrats to SD2OR for being the first to ten fish.  Good luck with the upgrades.

Thank you sir!
The first ten came pretty easy, glad I still have abundant time to try for super fish, like the brown I got last year.
A day without fishing probably wouldn't kill me,
but why risk it?

10 fish with a 150+ point average in March is probably some kind of record - great work!

Kemfish posted a beautiful striped surfperch.  Great colors.  If it had an intact tail it would have probably been the longest AOTY striped.

The striped perch have been good to me this winter.  Salt overall has been more productive when accessible.  Fresh water has been a fish here and a fish there.  Some nice ones, but not as much consistency.  We need a couple weeks of warm weather.  Can’t imagine when the mountain lakes are going to become accessible with all the snow.  I was looked at the traffic cams the other day for road conditions and the willamette pass tunnel on the way to O’dell and Crescent had snow drifts across it.

Hey everyone,
Just throwing it out there. there are only 14 people signed up for AOTY and I have over $2500 in prizes. With more prizes to come. Seems like a pretty nice pay out to make a $50 donation to an amazing organization like Heroes on the Water!

SO..... make your donation and get signed up! Please!!

Might consider sharing the event and the NWKA group on some of the other platforms such as “Kayak fishing addicts NW” on Facebook.  You might get some more attention there as well.  most of the OG guys know of NWKA but there are a lot of anglers out there that don’t.
