I only recently discovered 'angler' kayaks and this fall tried kayak crabbing (near Deception Pass), which presented some challenges but was a blast. My brag is that I caught 36 crab in the first 8 days of the 2018 Winter season. I was surprised to see only 4 other buoy's in a bay that is very popular in Summer, so I recommend people get out there. The weather most days was perfect and most of the crab shells were nice and firm.
