Title: Howdy from Port Angeles!
Post by: Eric B on May 14, 2022, 04:56:27 PM
Another new guy from California…. NCKA transplant.

Still getting settled in Port Angeles, and looking forward to learning the ways of the strait, (Sure is deep).

We are loving it here.

Welcome to the back end of nowhere...😃.

Seriously though you're in a good spot, with Neah Bay not that far from you, and,  well, fantastic fresh and saltwater fishing all around you.

If you're into fly fishing, check out Waters West. Can't recall if they're in P.A. , or Sequim, but worth the visit.

If you're a bit of a gastonome, check out The Oak Table in Sequim for a great brunch.

Thanks for the recommendation and welcome.

Yes…. it’s quite an adjustment in just about every aspect, but we love it here.

Have only been otw in a sailboat so far, but the 3 humps look well within paddle distance off Ediz Hook, and we’ve got Freshwater bay around the bent too.

Super stoked to be in orca territory instead of the red triangle.  Already saw a pod off the hook, I may have cried a little.

I look forward to hearing your fishing reports. I have a friend in Port Angeles that I visit every year and have been wanting to take my yak there for some fishing.
