What a great event! We had 16 participants signed up for this one, it was definitely our biggest event so far. I think I counted 28 kayaks. The weather during the week was dark and raining, but the forecast showed Partly Sunny and 74 degrees. I crossed my fingers all week hoping that the forecast would hold and sure enough...it was Mostly Sunny and it felt like 82 degrees.

All the NWKA guys and other volunteers that make up our HOW NWest Team made this event a total success, without you guys it would have been impossible to pull this off. You know who guys are...

The fishing was pretty good, quite a few fish caught. I think almost everyone caught fish weather they were keepers or not, the Fishing Guides did a great job!

I'm trying to figure out how to load pictures from Photobucket and will have some posted up tonight. For now, please check out the link to our Facebook page to see photos from this Saturday's event. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.396211800487688.1073741832.222959671146236&type=1

Fantastic job as usual Dino, that pork was really tasty! Thank you for all that you do.

The fish were mainly deep and it took some lead or a diver (or a downrigger) to fish effectively, something to keep in mind for next time. That being said everyone seemed to have a great time, myself included.

Very nice!! Great job gentlemen. American Lake is supposed to hold some nice size Kokanee. Were you guys targeting them or only trout?

We weren't fishing in the right areas with the right gear at the right depth for kokes in AL,  focused mainly on the places where the easy to catch stocked trout were hanging out.  Once you found the right depth it was stupid fast fishing
