Looks like you shrunk it back to almost a preform state.  If you want to you can reshape the container.  Malleability and a mold...

Or the dishwasher

I washed mine in the dishwasher a number of times before it sank.  OTOH I don't use heated drying.

Haha!  I tried to brew tea in mine a few weeks ago.

Poured hot water in and thank god I walked away and my pooch wasn't hovering in the kitchen like normal.

Next thing I know there is scalding water and tea everywhere and my water bottle looks like me after taking the polar bear plunge.
I would much rather be up a creek without a paddle than down one.

Thanks, I've been up nights pondering this issue.  Obviously they don't do so well.  Buy cheap stuff, if it gets damaged it doesn't hurt quite as bad. LOL!

My Hobie water bottle has the cover leash molded in "BPA FREE" and the underside of the bottle is molded "Handle with Care"......in addition, a sticky label is printed with "PBA Free, Hand wash only, Do not Microwave"......so, in order to make a water bottle that does not leech nasty chemicals into the contents is made with a plastic  that  does not tolerate elevated temperatures or abusive handling  :spittake:

After a little more thought and consideration regarding the shape, size, and color, I think you may have possibly come up with a whole new product line for Hobie.
