Any one tying sand lance patterns out there. I've been doing experiments with bendable and articulated flys. Would like input if there are other tyer's interested.

Those look like money.I think those would work in fresh or salt.I have never tied with the zonker body material before. Either on a fly rod or even behind a dodger I think they will get eaten.

Totally agree with Yaktastic........they look very fishy.

I'm not great at tying flies but think those would be worth a try.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Love the bottom one in the 1st picture, nice thin profile and looks like it's full of wiggle. Best bet take them out and let the fish decide which one they like the most and go from there.

That one is set to a leader snelled to a single hook.  I think a Rhode or Riffle hitch knot will bring out the action in these flys since that is what I'm going for. Your right, on the water is the test.

Sweet!  Here's my attempt at a sand lance imitation. https://sites.google.com/site/kayakfishingalaska/techniques-information/terminal-tackle/my-quick-no-vise-sand-lance-imitation-for-trolling

Speaking of sandlances, Sunday's fish were loaded with sandlances.  The first I have seen them this year.  Even Friday's fish didn't have them.

Nice job. The only thing I did different was add led tape. On some I added memory wire and Kevlar line for durability.
