Videos not viewable on the computer

None of the videos in posts work when viewing the forums on my computer today. I'm using the current version of Chrome on a Windows box.

Edit: OK, *some* videos aren't viewable. As soon as I posted this I noticed a post where I could see the video.

User error again.


When you post videos, use the share button in youtube, copy the URL but remove the "s" from "https" so that it reads "http://..."

Not sure what has changed (could be on youtube's end) but the same thing is happening on other forums as well, just the black bar and box... I know that the videos on this thread http://www.northwestkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=18032 worked previously, so it's not that it was done incorrectly previously per se' but that something has changed at some end. Although there's plenty of old threads that work fine... http://www.northwestkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=17524.0 for instance, there's also many that don't http://www.northwestkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=16901.0   fortunately I found that by using the "Quote" button I was able to pull out the link and view it in a separate tab.

Judging by the formats of the links I fixed, they were copied from the location bar instead of the "Share" tab.  Share should remain static.

Must be that youtube had a purging or changing of link formats or URLS  and it's just the share links that have stayed the same. Good to know, I didn't put those two things together.
