My heart got sank..... Hdwipmonkey to the rescue!

So assome of you knew I was going to purchase a used outback from an unnamed (for protection) person for $1200 and no rush on the $$$. So for the last year or so I have been putting money up at my oldest son's house a little at a time as I could. Well due to miscommunication he sold the boat to someone else in October..when I found out.. my heart sunk, it felt like someone shot my dog, horrible turn of events, horrible. I also bought Ballardbrad's upgraded fungunnin drive arms before I found out it sold so now I got salt on that wound.
  Well I licked my wound and texted the fellas what happened and Hdwipmonkey sends me a photo of a boat on s different site that just posted for sale that morning $1200   ......what is it? Well I must say I have peddled a Hobie revo, but it's not a revo..... or an outback..... nope not a Pa either, tooo heavy for this older guy. So what's the boat for $1200.....sorry Hobie guys but IMHO it's better yup a slayer propel. And it will be mine once the weather improves for some fishing as the sellers new ride comes in in March and he wants to try the bay so here's the sale add photo and I'll post up more once it's on my trailer.
Also since the older mariner seat hurts TLW's lower back we're hoping the newer style will work for her if it does I'll be buying "her"a new used boat.... then I'm in less trouble right?

Good for you Shannon!  I saw that Propel online and thought it looked like a pretty good deal. I've been curious how the bicycle style pedals feel after a couple hours?

Mojo, Sorry to hear about the Outback snafu.  It appears that it opened up a new opportunity to get the kayak you were looking for anyway.  Glad to see that you'll have the newer seat for comfort.  I've got a feeling you'll be a Native pro staffer soon.  Enjoy!

I promise I'll let you take at least one ride on it  as a finders fee ...... now that might be while it's strapped to the trailer in the parking lot but at least one ride

I've had mine (Slayer Propel 13) out and around for several 4-5 hr days with no problems.  My butt gets a bit sore and benefits greatly from a beach stop after a while, but the legs and pedals are doing fine.  I find that the bicycle-style motions (rotary) are easier on my knees than the Hobie drive's push-pull straight motions.  Others have the exact opposite reaction.

Awesome deal and an awesome buddy to get it for you Mojo! I have been mulling over a Propel myself since I am too cheap to buy the 360 drive and I would really like the reverse from time to time.

Pam  just told me that if it's good on her lower back that I promised it would be her boat and I'd take the mariner and as her boat "your more then welcome to look at it anytime you want!"   oooh snap
