Can you now upload higher resolution pics from your phone or do you still have to reduce the resolution for entry pics like the end of 2017?

I believe the new system will deal with larger images more gracefully but I have not played with that aspect of it. Give it a shot and let us know how it goes!

I've been uploading the original images just fine on the new system.
Kayaking without wearing a PFD is like drunk driving.  You can get away with it for a while, but eventually someone dies.

Agreed, it is really nice.  It looks awesome on mobile, too.

Is the link up to register yet? I’ve been preoccupied and haven’t fished yet this year. Just want to make sure that if I catch fish they’ll count

Yes it is up and running and you better get out fishing because you are falling behind.

Also when you go into the site, go to last years section and scroll down until you get to the detail section.  Click on your name and there are all kind of stats for your fishing history.  Also in the species section there is lots of info for each species.  It is pretty cool stuff.
Being retired, they pay me when I go fishing, therefore I am kind of a professional fisherman.

Part of it is a manual process after payment. We will always honor fish caught in the correct timeframe. If you're still not able to register fish please PM me.

Fish on!

For 2018, I have a few goals.  I always have the goal of bettering my score from the previous year.

Thanks to bsteves new graphs, I saw that I was kind of a fair weather fisherman, so another goal is to submit fish in the months that I have never submitted fish before.

I also want to add another fish that I have not submitted before including fish caught on the fly that I have not caught before.

AOTY has been a fun way to push myself to try new things and expand my fishing horizons.

My goal this year is to catch 10 (or more) species. I came close last year but completely forgot to take pictures of 3 species when the AOTY site was down. Wouldn't have mattered big picture as they weren't anything close to game winners.

That’s a great goal! Once you start putting fish on the board you may surprise yourself and start evolving your goal!
My goal is also to put 10 species on the board, same as last year. After that my goal is/was through out the year to pass whoever is just above me on the leaderboard.
