So a while back Team C.O.D. and INSAYN fishing team had a junk jig challenge just for fun. So let’s have a forum wide friendly competition to pass some time and get prepped to fish.

https://www.northwestkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=16753.210

Build a junk jig to fish once the SIP is lifted.

1. The only “real” Tackle that can be used is legal hooks, swivels, and fishing line.  (No actual lure making material allowed)
2 use what ever you have lying around in the kitchen drawer, shop drawer, or old car parts bin.
3 pictures of your parts before assembling
4 have fun

What do you win? Bragging right! Yup that’s all ya get, besides a big smile and maybe some good laughs. The fishing of the jigs is the best part.
Who’s up for the challenge.

Looks like we got two players so far, I’ll be in the shop later today or tomorrow to go through my “junk” as some that have been in there know I GOT AN ADVANTAGE! So post up tour junk pile and have fun. Since this isn’t official in any unofficial way if your not sure if something is ok to use post up and the majority rules.

Is a picture of the inside of my garage good enough for my junk pile?

Here are some of my raw materials I am considering, wheel weights, copper pipe, rope, copper wire, an old brass cover plate, some yellow mason line. We will see.

Wow, Good timing!  I was just getting the second load ready to haul to the dump/recycling - some of the recycling/dump items are now diverted to the workbench and may become fishing lures.  I'll post a picture of the junk later in the week.
