Hello everyone! Never fished lake Wenatchee for sokaye. Planning to go this weekend for day or two. Any recommendations which sidea better to cover?  Also would be nice to hear reports if someone had a chance to fish opener day.
Thanks in advance.
Have a great day :banjo:

There are a few posts about this on the Facebook group page kayak fishing addicts. People seem to be getting into them. I'm going to give it a shot early Saturday morning but I'm completely new to this sort of fishing so I'm not much help. Going to outdoor emporium this afternoon to hopefully pick someone's brain and buy some tackle. I'll be in a yellow revo16 say hello if you're there!

You just need basically hooks, dodger maybe cured shrimps, and pink squid, check any other sockaye fishing videos at YouTube, check Tyler Hicks videos, he was fishing at Brewster pool, i believe technique is the same, but lots of information you need you will find in that video. So you said going to be there on Saturday? Or both weekends?

Yea I just went to outdoor emporium and bought some gear. doesn't seem like much but still came out to $80 for a handful of crap somehow.. The tough part is going to be getting down to 50-60ft and staying there without a downrigger or linecounter reel.

If I can get the day off on Friday, I will head there Thursday night and fish Friday morning, and maybe also Saturday. Looks like its gonna be crowded. Every campsite at the state park is booked! I heard there was a lot of traffic at the boat launch on the opener. Don't really know what to expect.
