Very cool videos (and what a great gf to be so into fishing).

So when the squid strike the jig, are they ‘hooked’ by impalement on the wires, or arms just tangled up in them, or are they just hanging on still trying to eat the lure?

Theyre impaled, those wires are incredibly sharp especially on the YoZuris.

Thanks, Workhard.  I've looked at the jigs on occasion but never tried it yet...

Theyll make the best calamari you've ever had, it's also nice to have 25lbs of crab and sturgeon bait. It retails at like 5.50/lb now.
