Question about the 'forecast' output that WDFW posts on this page:

This screenshot comes from '2021 Chinook'. The three rightmost columns have two sub columns each. These columns lack headers. What do these sub columns represent? My best guess is 'high estimate' and 'low estimate', but that's just a guess.

Total runsize, wild fish runsize. You want to pay attention to the wild fish columns as those numbers are what drive the lengthening and shortening of seasons. The stilliguamish and mid hood canal have been the main players in shortening (or closing) our seasons the last few years.

Overall it looks like a pretty poor return on Chinook. With a low density of fish I would hang up the jig gear and figure out how to troll really well. It's going to be all about covering water.
