I've been fishing around Puget Sound and W. Washington lakes for ____ years, the last 20 years using what I call my "11' inflatable fishing yacht." I'm now exploring kayak fishing as simpler than the work involved in hauling, inflating, loading, and patching the 'yacht.' Was told this site and its fraternity of fishing kin can offer some good insights.  Thanks for letting me into the club. Jeff

Welcome to the NWKA forum Jeff.  Lots of great people here who share their knowledge.  Be sure to check out the search feature which will help you jumpstart your learning curve.

I had a couple of inflatables in my fishing history.  Kayaks are easier in so many ways.

There are so many informative threads here its, hard to name one. But start with the Drillin and Cutting tab if you're looking for help repairing on installing.

Yak choices can be found scattered through the site. And for an insight into how twisted the collective sense of humor for the entire site is, check The Morning Laugh.

Meanwhile,  enjoy spending hours and days reading through the thousands of posts... There's something for everyone...

Welcome!

Kayaks are awesome....Unless I'm taking my family along I prefer the ease and portability of my kayak over my 12' aluminum boat....so much less work to get on the water.
