Most kayak manufacturers outside of Hobie rely on other companies to produce kayak carts capable of hauling their kayaks. This produces a problem as there are a diversity of kayak hull designs that carts must be able to function with. I tested two kayak carts regarded as the best for hauling heavy fishing kayaks. The Malone Wide Track and the Wilderness Systems Heavy Duty kayak cart using a variety of hull designs and compared their specs as well. Hope this helps.

I've been really satisfied with my Wilderness Systems heavy duty kayak cart with balloon tires. It works very well with my Revolution.

The balloon or beach tires are supposed to be inflated to a maximum of 3 pounds, or to a diameter of 13 inches.  Because it's hard to find a tire gauge which registers such low pressures well, I made a cardboard jig to measure the diameter of the tires, and I adjust the tire pressure as the temperature changes.

I really appreciate your work on this one since I'm in the market for a new cart.  The problem you had trying to fit the WS Heavy Duty cart into your front hatch looks exactly like my problem with my current cart.  Just an inch more room...

Thanks for posting it.
I expected the worst, but it was worse than I expected...
