Sales Account Manager (Marine and Outdoors) Job Description





RAM Mounts is looking for a Sales Account Manager to join our dynamic team to drive the business forward in the Marine and Outdoors vertical. Your customers will be large retailers, kayak manufacturers, boat builders, marine electronics OEMs and more. We are looking for someone with a passion for fishing and the outdoors, who can manage the details and complexities of working with technical products, while building relationships and driving sales to key accounts and targets.



Due to COVID-19, this position is currently work from home at least until Washington meets Phase 3 of its Phased Reopening Plan. Outside of COVID, this position works in the office, located in the South Park neighborhood of Seattle, and travels to industry and customer events 10% to 25% of the time. We are looking for team players who can provide valuable solutions to our clientele by selling our high-quality product line. Compensation includes a base salary, benefits package, and bonus plan. Be part of a growing team in a thriving industry.



Duties and Responsibilities:

- Serve as the industry expert for our products in your specific vertical

- Grow sales within a group of existing accounts specific to your vertical

- Maintain and expand key customer relationships

- Prospect and develop net new accounts

- Capture accurate and complete information in the CRM system

- Develop strategic approaches for sales within your book of accounts

- Communicate with customers on production updates and other inquiries

- Collaborate with marketing and engineering teams to develop new products

- Travel to tradeshows (currently on-hold due to COVID-19), customer and trainings events to represent National Products Inc. (RAM Mounts)



Skills and Specifications:

- Able to work in fast-paced, self-directed, entrepreneurial environment

- Clear verbal and written communication skills

- Proficient computer skills including MS Word, web conferencing, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Salesforce (or comparable CRM system)

- Excellent telephone sales and service skills

- Organized and self-disciplined

- Effective presentation skills

- Excellent time-management skills

- Energetic with a self-starter mentality

- Team player



Education and Qualifications:

- Degree from a 4-year accredited university preferred

- Prefer 2-4 years of sales experience or transferrable skills

- Valid State Driver’s License

- Background in marine, outdoors, manufacturing or technology is a plus

We've got 6,000 sku's, which makes that all but impossible, but Outdoor Emporium and Fisheries Supply each have a smattering.
