Hey all,

Been fishing since before a hook was safe to have on my line. In college in NC I was able to fly fish easily when I had a trout stream 50 feet from my front door. Since moving to Seattle about 15 years ago my fishing dropped off. Pretty much limited to a guided trip on the yak once or twice a year when my brother came out to visit.

In recent years was bummed that I never got out and then it occurred to me that there were probably fish in the sound! Ha! So I fished for SRC (notice I say fished and not caught) a bunch the last few years. Still trying to crack the code on those guys.

Picked up a Hobie Pro Angler last year and have been having a blast with it. Trying to find good locations within an hour of the house so I can get out more. With two young kids time is in short supply but an hour is good so I can fish a half day and still be a helpful father. If you see a prius with a 14 foot Pro Angler on the roof it is probably me! It is my hippie pickup truck.

Got out to Lake Sammamish last saturday and had a blast poking around out there. That one is only 20 minutes from my door so I think I will be heading over there a good bit this summer.

Excited to be back out on the water and to be a member on here. Lots of learning to do here.

Welcome to the NWKA forum!  Great place to interact with your fellow kayak fishers.  I have a PA14 and I am trying to envision it on top of a Prius........  Wow.
