Might be a bit washy with the S wind and swells. But the lure of early season Coho is looking like it's gonna make me go out for an early morning launch! Might also be wet, the forecast keeps changing, I am watching close, will decide by tomorrow night if I am going or not. If anyone else is out there I'll be on channel 69 ;) If there's any hot action I'll report on this thread.

Get it all figured out, I may be out there or Depoe later in the week.
The two best times to fish is when it’s raining and when it ain’t. -Patrick McManus

Being retired, they pay me when I go fishing, therefore I am kind of a professional fisherman.

I am trying not to call in to work this week as they frown upon the overtime on Fridays when I play hookie during the week.
The lure of taking Wednesday off is pretty significantly strong. Not sure if I will fight off the urge, or take the plunge. Literally!
I really want to focus some more effort on Halibut out of Depoe Bay, and will for certain troll my way in and out.

My luck will be to catch a small silver on the way out and then have to pinch the barbs on gear for the rest of the day. That is, if I give in to the urge!

That is my plan, and what worked last year. This year I will be dropping a crab trap pretty deep. Plan is to troll out to the crabbing grounds, drop my trap. And bottomfish after that. The good days I am bottomfishing with barbless gear  ;D
