Crash is up from Cali and my torn back muscles is feeling well enough to go taco shopping. This will be a 0730 push off with a 8:41 low, stopping off for clams on the way out to drop crab traps and harass swimming fish tacos. Open invite.

Crap, if someone can grab my trailer you could use mine, crash is just grabbing my yak gear and I.

Edit: if anyone has room for a really cool guy and a Revo (skinny little fu€£er) come to think of it so is the owner?! He’s not far off 26 on Cornelius Pass , or be able to pull a 3/4 ton Ford truck bed trailer from Idaville (2min off 101 on the way) to Garibaldi post up.

Good group of guys today staggering launches, clam beds were pretty picked clean unless you wanted to dig, I got 4 good size cockles, fogged in for the better part of the day so not a scorcher in the sun. I managed a nice sized rock, and one keeper crab in the trap heliumhead dropped on the way out for me since he wasn’t clamming, lots of good size females. Gifted my catch to a few of the other guys. Not the best picture but my bump board got broke.

Newbies! The fishing was much slower than usual but there were 2 first time kayak fisherpersons (can say fishermen as one was female!) and they both caught fish!! Unlike me who got totally skunked!

Although I did catch a barnacle like thing, I was outdone even in this category by Jason “catching”  not one, not two, but three starfish!

The lure of choice for a trio of starfish off the bottom was a nice bright white lancer jig, you know, in case anyone was interested…

I caught a very nice copper. I’m good at catching nice out of season fish.
