A day without fishing probably wouldn't kill me,
but why risk it?

Idk, given the state of their population, C&R fishing for those guys already seems in poor taste... Add in the fact that the dude is fishing from a kayak, which limits his ability to shorten the fight... lol you can see where I'm going w/ my assessment.

All true, unfortunately...
They sure have more goliath grouper/black sea bass, than the West coast, but there used to be way more on both coasts.

Also on my bucket list are tarpon, snook, and peacock bass, and Florida has them all!

Hmm. Didn't know peacock bass were in Florida. Just checked and turns out the Florida wildlife department imported them into Florida from the Amazon back in 1984.

That's got my attention now! Maybe do a two-fold trip to see a rocket launch and a peacock bass outing.

If you were to spend some time in the canals of south florida, you could catch dozens of exotic species, including peacock bass, oscar, pacu, snakeheads, etc.....A well planned out 2 week trip could yield over 100 new species if one so chose......great, now i'll be going down yet another youtube rabbit hole the next week......lol

I could totally envision a trip to FL to knock some new species off the list (that I haven’t officially even created yet).

Not sure what Florida has for Bull Reds, but when I hooked one in Grand Isle, LA it was a full on line spooling sleigh ride for over 30 mins. Those beasts are powerful!!  43" /36#

Look up Fishesfromtupperware on here.. OG guy... last I knew he was living and guiding in the Jacksonville area...

Also, Dick , Polyangler, look him up. His guide service should be up and running now.
