My favorite part of AOTY over the years has been competing against myself.  Getting 10 eligible fish is a great goal.

That's pretty much my philosophy too. 10 in a single season would be a big win for me and boost my personal best total for sure. For a long term goal, the challenge of catching all 16 of the available species here in Alaska...well...I'd buy my own trophy for the mantle on that one. LOL  And always that standing challenge....break the hundred pound mark on a halibut.
The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
