Hi guys, I'm Jesse. I moved my family to Longview from Shasta County in Northern California last Summer. I've been with NCKA since 2013 and figured it was proper to join NWKA at this point.

I fished Gimme Shelter, Trinidad Rockfish Wars, a FreshKats event at Black Butte Lake and I think just one Shasta Bass Kayak Classic, though I signed up for another and couldn't make it. I was also part of HOW while that was going. That was the tourney side of it, though I logged many miles and hours fishing the sweet and salt of NorCal, was a consistent ab diver before Urchin Barrens were a thing and camped off the yak quite a bit.

I'd say that the majority of my yak fishing was city pond fishing for Northern Largemouth and Lake Shasta for Spotted Bass though, especially in the Winter when the bite is phenomenal and the lake lice are gone for the off season. I'm looking forward to hitting up Silver Lake out of Castle Rock this April for largemouth and maybe the Cowlitz or Columbia when the Spring run kicks in. I've got a little experience on the Sacramento River and other smaller rivers or creeks in NorCal so it shouldn't be too hectic. Maybe hit up the salt if it ever flattens out over there. Also love Crawdadding.

Anyways, I'm getting my license to be ready for April Fools Day and looking forward to figuring it out. See you on the water!
