Leaning towards Depoe, but PC is supposedly great lately.
Been a while since I did a beach launch, last time I went to PC, I had a yard sale launching and landing. Would give it a go Tue though, if forecast holds.

I wouldn't mind hitting Garibaldi, for crab n perch, maybe cutties or salmon.

I still need to get my first ever kayak chinook, so could be convinced to hit the river.

Just looking for some company!
A day without fishing probably wouldn't kill me,
but why risk it?

Tuesday at PC looks very tempting. Apparently, there are some fatty Chinook milling about. The conditions look pretty nice.

I'm strongly considering heading out that way tomorrow. Conditions look decent and there's been fish. I was originally planning on fishing Tillamook tomorrow but the forecast and fish are really, really tempting.

I've been wondering about salmon season at PC. Is it open now?

Thought about it a bit more--I'm 100% up for going to PC tomorrow. I think it'll be worth it. Plus if we plan to launch early enough and it looks terrible, there's always Tillamook on the way back! High tide at Memaloose is around 9am.

All packed and ready for PC tomorrow! What time are people planning to get there? I'm going to be looking for those nooks! Haven't gotten one this year.

Main swell has lessened a bit, secondary is nothing, practically. Tertiary has grown tho, 2.5 at 6 sec., heading a bit south. Might be a lil bit of a washing machine...

Beautiful on the beach right now. High tide very modest wind. Should be a smooth launch at a minimum.

Staying across the street and planning on getting on the beach 6ish.  Ch 69. Salmon until I am convinced there are none there.

Do you stay at the county campground or somewhere else?

Well, I didn't get any nook. Had two drive by's.
Beer_Run got one tho, as did a few dorys I saw.
I did however get probably my nicest limit of black rockfish ever, including one I believe is my personal best. Normally when the rockfish bite is good, I stop at four, and save the last slot in hopes of something different, like cabs, when in season. I forgot to do that today, and as a result had to throw back two enormous coppers, also personal bests.
The rockfish bite was on fire for a bit, got one decent ling, and lost a couple bigger ones.
