That's a sweet ride Roy!

How exactly does the loader work?  I've got an idea from the pictures but not the whole story.

The need to be gentle with my back led to this,, cant throw things around anymore..
Found a 60$ small 12v winch at Shucks with remote switches. Had to extend the leads for hand held control.. Purchase  point is on lifting handholds kayak balance point. Pool-noodle keeps kayak and truck apart, plasitc on canopy edge for chafeing, inch worms guide rope for winch alinement. Winch brings kayak up easily. One hand on control other guides back of boat. At break over point on side of canopy i  lift back up to flatten boat ,, winch runs fast enough with a full spool of 5/16 p-dac.  Small fuse in line in case relay sticks !! The line on winch has open loop half way across boat so it will flatten out at ground level by pulling on side of boat.
Push  down button and it sets on to cart.. Surprising how well it works.

Well done!  Way to overcome an obstacle in style.

Hahahah I found his post!  In seeing how he did this, I'm realizing I might have some issues using a small winch.  First one being my rack bars.  There the long bars, and extend out past my campershell by easily a foot each side.  So, a straight up lift as RR demostrated in his youtube might not work so smoothly for me.  I picture my hull maybe hitting the bars on it's way up?  I guess I could pull the front back somewhat to clear the front bar then manuver the back of the hull up and over?  Humm have to think this out now.  I could.............maybe shift the bars over so there not extended on the load side but then they'll be way over the other side.  More thought to be involved...

Roy, this is very sweet! It gives light to those of us that need to lift less especially awkwardly. Thank you for sharing this.

The kayak cart looks like it makes sense as well. How far does it extend beyond the bow when in use?

This was an old post I searched for and located (resurected) but yes, it was genius of him to think of this!  I hope he's still using it!
