Would love to down a couple of brewskis with you guys and get some tips on some good fishin' spots... but couldn't make it.  Will try to attend the next one though.

Just wanted to say I enjoyed meeting all the guys who showed last night- Rich, Tom, Bryce and Frank.
Looking forward to hearing how the sturgeon fishing goes Rich.
Tom, I will be looking for your posts on the Sombrio trip cause if I can't do the Moucha Event then Sombrio could be a good replacement.
Tight lines to all--

Yeah, thanks Zee for pulling together our little get together.

I was thinking it would be just some brew and sociallizing, but Zee layed enough rich fishing info (mostly salmon and salmon mooching stuff) on us that I felt like a near total newby.  And I see that as a GOOD thing.  I like your point about how it's all a numbers game out there.  That's a really good way to look at things when we're sizing up anything about kayak angling.  Hook orientation, fishing time and location, fish congregation... you name it.

If at first you don't succeed....  maybe skydiving is just not for you.

Yeah, I'll be trying to pull together about a 5 day trip for roughly the July 10 to August 15 time frame.  That's the ONE trip that I'm wanting to do more than any other this summer.  I'll look up the tides and currents so as to nail a date down more accurately.  That, and I'd have a lot better idea what I can and can't do if I could start what ever new job comes next.  Some times it gets really tough to get away.  When I get something firmed up, I'll post it in the "Let's talk kayak angling" forum.  Even though it will happen in B.C., the post will be directed to members from all of our areas.

I am VERY sorry I had to miss it.  TLW and I had a previous engagement for a Winter Olympic opening ceremony party at a co-worker's house.  <Big ass yawn>

Sorry, I can't make Thursdays - I spend the evening with my mother - she's 82.

we will be there on the 18th, but where is I'm going to? same place? :spittake:

P.S.  to Yakker-Rich landed a 63" sturgeon last week. no pics. he was more concerned with safely releasing the fish. Says it took about 20 min to bring in. :D at least he knows now they're really out there!

Hope to meet everybody on Thursday nite, and soak up as much info as brew.

Yeah, I'm guessing Dad's. I also like Zayd Buddy's in Ballard though. Fried cheese curds and Leinenkugels!

Not going to ask where, but I am asking how he caught the sturgeon.  Bait, depth, rig?
