All kidding aside, it looks like you have the fishery dialed in. Are carp shy of divers? I used to spearfish on scuba and some fish would come right up to you while other would run immediately.

These ones are taken in really dark water, usually less then 3' of viz.  you have to creep up on them, any little bubble, ripple, or noise and they bolt.  later in the year the water clears up and the big ones get pretty wary, letting you see them for a second, then swimming off.  reminds me of hunting upland game in the fog.  there is always the odd dumb one that will swim right up and say hi.

That's some pretty murky water.  You should try it over here in the spring before the algae kicks up.

Some of you would love the snake here in southern idaho in spring and early summer the carp are crazy!! Alot of bow fisherman out here, they are doing a good job of cleaning our rivers. I personally target them on the fly, when the carp are schooled up at the surface sucking air, they will take a small fly and not even realize it. Then the fight is on!!!

Carp on a fly is awesome.

Everything I have learned about carp on a fly says it is very addictive.  They say you better have plenty of backing for their initial run.   I have never tried to catch them with a fly, but hope to try this year.
