Post by: jgrady on January 11, 2014, 12:37:19 PM
I my self have not had the chance to go But, As I run the Economy Inn in Reedsport, We have many fisherman and guide stay here, The Last set of storm's have improved the water on the Umpqua river and Many Steelhead are being caught near and east of Sawer rapids. And allot of hatchery keepers as well ( as I go to toss the left overs, left in the trash, in the river to the seals) , Also I have been getting report's that 10 mile creek is Also getting steelhead, the creek level was running low , And I'm not sure as to how the water level is now after the last set of storms, It's Blowing hard out so if you do go be careful out there.

Fished tenmile creek wed/thur . Put the kayak in at spinreel park and floated down to the mouth. Water is still summertime low. Got soaking wet nothing to brag about, ended up 5 fish for both days. The fish really made me work for them. Stleath was the game- fishing the cut banks, any structure no matter how small and fishing with 6lb test and size 8 egg fly pattern.
