Hey everyone. I’ve been lurking around the site since 2015. 2 years ago I extended my love for fly fishing to include kayaking. My current kayak is a Hobie PA 12. I’m always open to meeting up with fishing buddies in the South Sound area fresh or salty waters.

Welcome! I try to make 10 or so trips up to the south sound each year. I should say, I plan about 25, but only am able to make 10 or so happen....lol. If you're looking for quality fish, and dont mind a lot of paddling and fighting currents, then we can hit the nisquilly delta for starry flounder action (and some incidental rock soles and dog fish). If youre looking for an easy day of paddling, relaxing, and catching a high number of fish and species, we can fish out of Steilacoom. A typical day entails around 75-100 fish, anywhere from 5-10 species. I can PM you the next time it looks like i can get away. My typcial fishing days are thurs and Fri. every once in a while, a saturday.

Welcome...I use my kayak to go after SRC quite a bit. Coho will be coming in soon. Just learning the Stillwater game with a fly rod...really enjoy the calm water as opposed to the occasional unintended excitement of being out on the salt. You might want to try Neah Bay and Sekiu also. I've always got an extra beer on board (at least toward the beginning of my day) if you see me out there...bright green/yellow Hobie compass...usually got a gold UW hat on...and untangling my fly line! Hood Canal is supposed to be great for
Rockbottom:
Oops....wrong key.. I want to try and hit the Canal more for salmon and SRC. Can get surprisingly rough out there though! Hope to see you out there!
