So,  I've had the misfortune of fighting over 100 fish in the last week on the Kenai.  I know...you all feel sorry for me.

the problem I have now is that my shoulder is killing me.  Any ideas how to treat this?   Ice helps a little, but the fact that there are still tons of reds in the river is drawing me back.   What do I do?
No matter how many times the PB's tell me I'm nuts....I still smile every time I out fish them

Only one cure---PT---Raise arm, flip, drift, hook, and repeat until hooked up again.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

I don't feel sorry for you. Tough it out! I broke my hand last salmon season. I slipped on a rock while netting someone's fish. I tried my best to continue fishing but I couldn't hold my rod. I figured it was time to go to the hospital. The fishing was so hot that I got my cast on and went right back out there. I switched to a spinning combo and swapped the crank around so I could reel with my good hand. I finished the season that way and ended up catching more salmon than anyone else at the local 'secret spot'.

So yeah, suck it up pansy!  :D

I didn't say I was quitting.   Just wondering if there was a cure.

last year I had to go to the hospital to get a hook removed.   After a trip to dairy Queen, I finished catching my limit.

Maybe I'll just switch species for a couple of days

Know a friendly doc? Get an RX for some Voltaren gel, slap it on the shoulder and get back out there. Time's a-wasting.
