Conditions look to be pretty nice tomorrow. Anyone planning on going? If you are, looking at dragging some stuff around for salmon? Tough call with a great day and a shot at a springer. Also, with gas prices it’s now a $50 decision :)

I'll be there around 8. Don't think I'll bring salmon gear though.
Going to drop a pot then go for some blacks and lings.

Planning on heading out with my brother. Will be popping our cherries in the ocean. Ill be in a blue revolution he in a red outback. Come say hello if you see us, we are planning on launching between 7-8.

PLEASE be careful, and above all TRUST your gut, I have failed to launch after several 0600 trips because something just didn’t feel right. We don’t want to read about you on the news. And above all just have fun and enjoy the day. I’d be there but I’m not back into ocean shape after a way too damn long winter, getting old sucks more every year!!!

Conditions were decent, a bit foggy though. I left my salmon gear at home (big mistake), got a limit of blacks, no keeper lings, only one crab which is a record low. Great day out though.
I found a rod and net on the beach, still in good shape. PM me if you had a yard sale and want to get it back. I’m in Beaverton.

Had a great day on the water, got a bit of a late start didn’t end up launching until 9. Break was really flat on the way out though had no trouble, or so we thought until my brother got out there and realized he was missing a rod ??? . We started fishing right off the north side of the rock, caught a China rock fish pretty early and my brother got a keeper ling. Headed further out as a fellow kayaker told us that’s where the big kings hang out. We lost one keeper ling at the boat but was fairly slow otherwise. Headed back to the rock and ended up getting three more keeper lings and a nice black rockfish between us. High on our success we headed back to shore and both took the required swim back to beach after we both flipped on the way in. Fortunately I only lost my fish measure to go along with the previously mysteriously lost rod. All in all an epic first day on the ocean.
