Since this forum's recent technical difficulties, the time of posting listed for each post is off.  For example, I posted this at 9:45 am, MDT, but the listed time is 5:34 pm.

maybe showing Greenwich mean time.
"A venturesome minority will always be eager to get off on their own,
and no obstacle should be placed in their path;
let them take risk, for God sake, let them get lost, sun burnt, stranded, drowned,
eaten by bears, buried alive under avalanches -
that is the right and privilege of any free American."

Nope.  It's UTC (Coordinated Universal Time).  Which is GMT with a fancy new name...   ???
I expected the worst, but it was worse than I expected...

Nope.  At the time that I posted this reply, Greenwich Mean Time was 4:13 pm.  The forum shows the time of posting as 6:02 pm.  I posted the reply at 10:13 am MDT.

UTC is 6 hours ahead of Mountain Standard Time, and 7 hours ahead of Pacific Standard Time.  But who can remember that?  And from Mountain Daylight time, UTC is . . . uh, let's see, spring back, fall forward . . . it's way too hard to keep track of it.  It makes much more sense to show posting times in Pacific Standard Time or Pacific Daylight Time, whichever is in effect.

Oregon is UTC +7 hours, so I'm guessing it's showing the time for wherever the new server is located.

The posting time isn't an exact number of hours off, so my guess is that the clock ended up on the incorrect time after the technical difficulties.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, working on it ... adjusted for the right time zone to make it right here, but found out the server is still 13 minutes slow.  Put in a request to get the time sync working correctly on the new server.

Hot dang.  I see that the posting times have been corrected retroactively, although still with the 13 minute error.  Getting closer.
