Seward, AK  Cohos from a Yak.

So I make an executive decision to head to Seward on Saturday.  Launch from the South Beach near Miller's Landing.

I get three strikes and land one silver before I get to Tonsina Creek.  I should of followed the first rule of fishing which is:  Never leave fish to find fish.  But the silvers aren't supposed to be this close in and EVERYONE knows the fishing is better away from port.  WRONGO.  I spend the next three hours landing one more silver.  Caught a few cod and rock fish and I begin to paddle back.  About where I hit the first fish I consistently hit fish. Next 2 hours I hook maybe 30 fish and land 10 silvers!

About half came while power mooching.  Could not have done that with my mini-x.

Stopped by Liquid Adventures and said hi to Chris.  Great guy.

Not a very good video but hopefully you get the idea.  I need to clean my LENS!!!!  I didn't think about it with the nice day but forgot about all the water the fish through in the air!  Oh well.  Next time if I get in to fishing anywhere near this good, I want to try the underwater camera.  Dang!  I need to get my act together!

Way to go Rudy...looks like an outstanding "executive decision".Were you trolling herring behind the flasher ?Looks like you were right offshore by Miller too.You probably could have saved yourself some extra peddling if you wouldn't have "left fish to find fish".Oh well, gotta build up those Hulk Legs.
Anyway----good job bud.I'm getting ready to head north for 3 weeks and probably won't be fishing any in Prudhoe. But I'll be wanting to........
When I return on the 22nd we will only have a small window to get out fishing before we head south.I truely hope we can get together at least one more time.Seward might be having a pretty good run this year so let's both keep it in mind.In the meantime I'll be with you in spirit if not in person.Go get em my friend....

Oh--Lori and I are both looking to try out a Hobie when we go south.Already have enough stuff to move right now.........go figure...... ::)

Yah! Let's hook up!  The exec decision was getting the ok to bail from the family CFO and COO that morning....

I have to edit before posting on other Boards. Maybe I will wait.  Too close to give up spot too easily. Lol.

A new version similar vid. Shortened it up, rearranged the clips and most importantly figured out how to lighten the video up.

Outstanding edit job.Love that you were able to capture the strikes as they hit.And looks like those silvers were pretty shallow, like in the top 20' or so.I'm all kinds of jealous dude. And I could tell exactly where you were fishing. No need to post any info there.
Very well done Mr. T.Keep 'em coming.Did you video your kids catching fish on Sunday ?That would be cool to see too.Gotta love a kid geting all excited with a fish on........

That's some of the best kayak fishing video I've seen on this site. I'm drooling :P

Don't say anything about the location. If people want to put in the effort with you that's different. I wouldn't mind hearing any details about your terminal tackle and strategies though.

Thanks for making us crazy  ;D
