Hobie Outback Special Anniversary Edition

Not sure if this was posted here yet or not... but for those of you that missed it...last month Hobie announced the 15th Anniversary edition Outback.   It's orange...and it'll be my precious...

In November I get to be one of the lucky 500. 

That thing is sweet, i wonder how much the mark-up will be.

They're saying $2999.   However, the kayak shop in anchorage is charging me $2800. 

Drool. I heard about it but I didn't know it comes with cool stuffs.  Congrats! 

I'm in the market for 2nd hobie but I want to test drive revo 13 before taking the plunge. Need more speed. I asked alaska kayak & raft to have demo and hopefully they'll come thru.

Sweet!  I will likely add a kayak to the fleet at the end of this year, early next year.  Still haven't made a decision but I am thinking that I am going to stay with the outbacks. But who knows... Maybe the revo 13 or 16...maybe an inflatable to try for a year.  Now that my kids are getting into it, maybe a tandem island...

ARGH.......

The wife is the one that pushed me to buy it...I own a blue Outback, and she says it blends in too much with the environment. I guess the orange does add a bit of safety in case I float out to sea    If my life insurance was any higher it might be a different story.
