Well almost...... ;D ;D

I received the drive today... and would love to show a pic of it, but facebook gives me no love.

Anyway it is the feelfree overdrive in the case for those that do not wish to look at a picture. So far I am happy the case on this thing is a beast. Now the boat was confirmed arrival tomorrow by noon.....  My new Lure 13.5 will be here and with a little tlc and she will be out on the water this weekend, if the wife leaves me the car with the tow hitch. >:(

I will put up photos as soon as I figure how in the hell to do it. I guess I should spend more time catching up on modern times....(Glad I can blame it on just getting old.)

Portland is only a few hours drive away, probably net faster time than dealing with a local guy and shipping.

Hope you didn't sign the bill of lading.

I did but that is a moot point since the transport company is under fire from 2 fronts. The driver would not open the truck until I signed and when I got done with the parent company not real sure if he has a job even. His load was unsecure and the palette jack was rolling around loose so everyone knows where the damage came from just got to wait for the corporate wheels to grind so to speak. New boat is on it's way.

A little update... since I figured out the picture thing..

They stuck a fork lift thru the hull in the rear.  (1st boat pictures attached)

But Austin Kayak has been awesome. They sent a new yak out the day after they received the pictures instead of having to do the send it back and then we will ship a new one routine.

The drive arrived Saturday and the boat is due in Wed. So I hope to be out this weekend for at least a test run and attempt at flipping and righting.

The shipping company is supposed to send out an independent investigator to look at the boat, but over a week and no word from him/her. There is a possibility I may end up with 2 boats and 2 drives. I think the forklifted one can be fixed. They may have just gone ahead and paid out on it after my discussion with the freight company and all the problems I encountered. Austin Kayak doesn't want it back because the boat is unsalable by them even if fixed and since it is a package deal the drive stays with the boat. Let's keep our finger crossed.
