I'm dreaming of getting the Hobie Mirage Tandem Island soon (within a few weeks). I've been demo'ing the Adventure Island the past three Thursdays out of Sellwood Park on the Willamette courtesy of Next Adventure Paddle Center. Those guys are really great. Anyone interested in checking them out should consider coming to their big demo day on June 4 from 10-6 at Sellwood Park (Portland). Hobie will be there and (I hope) will bring a Tandem Island for me to try.

It's been a very long time since I was a fisherman. Back in '63-'64 I was a fishing guide in Yellowstone Park and now that I'm retired looking forward to learning all over again.

This forum is fantastic for getting tips and ideas from the veterans. Once I get my Tandem Island it would be great to meet up and learn in person.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

Welcome!  Glad to hear they've been treating you well.  Jammer and myself should be at the Summer Splash so make sure to say hi!

Thought i'd revive this old thread since I did get my Tandem Island. I'm in Camas, WA (Portland area). Hope to meet up, sail and fish many new areas as I get to know more of you.

I may have some time in the lower PNW in spring, don't know?  I have an AI that I would love to sail into the San Juans, camp out, and fish from camp for a few days, then sail back.  Have yet to do it and have had the AI for over 3 years now.

Where you sailin' from? I'm eager to sail and fish that area. I'm in Camas near Portland so it's a 4 hour drive depending on launch point. Let's start planning and maybe we can get a flotilla going!
