Haven't seen anything on the Fish Taco Feed planning, so figured I'd get that ball rolling.  Plan right now is for my wife and kids to come out for the taco dinner, so I'll bring (in addition to hopefully some fresh rockfish fillets) a 100ct package of corn tortillas and a few avocados.

List of stuff (will be updated as folks volunteer):

sumpnz: 100ct corn tortillas, avocados
Jammer: Plates, cutlery, napkins
Romanian Redneck: several 2L bottles of soda, taco sauce
Noah/Ling Banger: oil for fryer
CBY: cole slaw
bluewrx02: Hemorrhoid cauterizing ribs (maybe it's ON  >:D)
Seahorse: Baked Beans, 20# spuds
ndogg: shredded cabbage and 1 large cutting board
Wobbler: Bean side dish, salsa
Younggun: Paper towels, Red Solo Cups
SamM: 100ct corn tortillas, 100ct wheat tortillas, fruit salad
langcod: Pico de Gallo, cutting board
PNW: 2 burner propane stove, 5 gal propane, 1 wok, 2 kegs beer
Goldendog: Clam Chowder
ling ling, herro: Mexican crema, queso fresco
catch: mango salsa, oyster sausage
DeaFish: Fryers and propane (may need transport assistance)
rawkfish: Limes
matanaska:Prudhomme seasoning
islandson671: Lousinana Lemon Fish Fry (gluten free)
Sinker: Cilantro, tongs, trays
Theshoeman: 6-7 heads lettuce
yaksurf: Fruit salad
crabbycabby: Eggs
browneyesvictim: Speakers and mic
Ling Banger: garbage can for chilling 1 keg
dampainter: taco casserole
DTS: 4 boxes Pride of the West breading

Items still needed (check back as this will be updated as additional items are thought of, and then claimed):
Fryers
Breading/Spice mix for the fish (Be good if there was at least 1 gluten free option)
Eggs and anything else needed for the coating on the fish
Wheat tortillas
Salsa
Lettuce
cabbage
various side dishes
various dessert items
Trays
Paper towels (to drain the fish on after frying)
Potatoes (for french fries)
Cutting Boards (probably need several got 2 need probably at least 1 more)
tongs (for dropping/extracting fish from fryer)
Red Solo Cups
Another 100ct corn tortillas
Limes
Cilantro

We'll also need to organize for the awards ceremony.  For that we will need the following items.
Projector
Screen
laptop to run photos
cords for the various cameras to download photos/video
microphone and speakers (??)

Great job starting this thread Sumpnz.

As most of you guys know, on Saturday of ORC weekend, we have the annual Fish taco potluck. Every year, we are looking for you guys to help by bringing something for fish taco's and help support the potluck.

I can bring all the plates, cutlery and napkins.

Chime in with whatever you guys would like to bring.

Sumpnz, Could you possibly update the list as people reply with whatever they're bringing?

Who usually brings the fryers? I'm going to chip some money in to Ling Banger for the oil.

I vote for Sumpnz to take charge of the Saturday FishTacoFest. If he chooses to take job...

I think he'll do a great job.

I'll update the first post with the lists.  Won't do that though until I'm on a computer, rather than my phone.

I suppose it is important to have the discussion as to what makes a good fish taco!  Although we might be bordering on religion here.

For me, fried fish, cabbage, a white sauce (ranch is perfectly fine with me, although you can get as fancy as you like), on wheat tortillas (or the horror for you corn tortilla lovers), a dash of salsa fresca, and hot sauce to taste.  Shoot ... toss in a grilled green onion if you want to get fancy.

Speaking of sauce, I may make a big batch of my special fish taco sauce. It's got a kick to it, so be warned.

If you haven't been within 300 yards of a certain person's spicy ribs, you don't know what hot is.

I"ll be donating any fish I catch.  Hopefully the biggest fish as well :)

Should I leave those at the cleaning station at Depoe or bring them back to camp to be cleaned?

Probably easiest to fillet everything at the cleaning station at the launch if it's not too crowded.  There is a reasonably decent fish cleaning area at the camp ground too.  It's looking likely that Fungunnin won't make ORC due to work commitments.  But there should be some folks around that, while not as good/fast at it as Fungunnin can help school folks on filleting.

There will be a place to donate fillets at the camp gound.
