Thinking of having the Brownlee Crappie Shootout ll on May 6, 2017 next year. Anyone interested?
-
Are there any storms in the forecast? Lol
-
Hahaha. Nope. Entry fee will include insurance this time. Moving the venue to Powder river arm so we won't have to worry about the widow makers.

It's on the calendar now, looking forward to it.[emoji106]

I'm in, What an awesome event last year. I'm still tying to recuperate from unhooking all of of those crappie, bass, and catfish. I even hooked myself with a treble in the finger which I won't soon forget. I hope you have the belt buckle up for grabs if you have it again. You know how to put on a badass tournament and the prizes were unbelievable for a first year tournament. I can't wait to see what you put together for this one.

Hope I can live up to this year. Already have the belt buckle donated. Just have to decide what image to put on it. If you want your name on it, you won't get it till after the tourney.

I'm a maybe!

Count me in! It was a blast catching all of those crappie, and cooking them up after.

It's going to be in Richland Or. So the Richland WA. guys are obligated to attend.

Really really want to be there. Spent many weekends boat camping out of Richland. But depends on when I have to start dialysis and how much freedom I have from the machine, curses............That seems like the perfect weekend for height of spawning activity.

Sorry to hear that Fogbank, hope all goes well. I'm changing the scoring system to an AOTY system with a little tweaking. I believe there are 6 fish in the Res that you can get points on. Double points for crappie. I will also try to get the permit to include Oxbow res. so the Idaho guys can use their licences.
-
Do you have any more info at this time, like will you be camping in any area campground? Would like to attend this year.
-
I am interested in trying something new.... where is this tourney at? ???
-
Now that TBKD is moving to June (I can't miss that one), this might be something to try in May. Anyone willing to part with tips on how to find and fish for crappie?
-
Stevem, You won't be disappointed if you can make it to this tournament. Jed puts on a really fun Tournament. If the fishing is anything like last year you'll get tired of unhooking Crappie. I had good luck using Crappie jigs on a Crappie leader setup. It seemed like most colors worked. I even had luck trolling plugs and caught lots of Crappie, Bass and Catfish.

Hi guy's, here is a little more info. Tourney date changed to May 20 to avoid conflicting with WA halibut openers and to mitigate the affects of runoff from snopocalypse out here. This should allow more people to join in the fun and in turn generate more for the charities. HQ will be Hewitt Holcomb park in Richland Oregon. All of Brownlee and Oxbow Res will be included. Points per inch multi species format. I'll post more when I get back into town. I do have an updated list of sponsors on the Brownlee Crappie Shootout fb page.

Do we have a confirmed date for Bonneville Bass Bonanza? I have that date in pencil as a possible BBB date.

Hi Crash, just talked to John. He is still deciding on a final date but not in May so we should be good.
