Sweet, but you seem to be missing the most important category, ability to catch fish.

Isn't this the least important category?
A lure's primary goal is to catch the fisherman, catching fish is just an added bonus that maybe 15% of the stuff in my box can claim as an actual ability.
Ha ha!

Imagine if you were in a store and saw two packages of the same price. One is shiny and rattles, the other is an old Eagle Claw hook and an earthworm; I know which one has a better chance of catching fish, but I'd still walk home with something shiny.

So true!

I think I've found a few possibilities. Will post pics when complete.

On a side note--- my best steelhead (20+ lb'er) was caught using an orange earplug and a night crawler on the Wynoochee River.
  Just sayin'-- weird shit works.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Ok so guys can get started loose rules are
1. no conventional tackle--with the exception of a hook, split ring, swivel, and lead for weight only (provided the lead isn't molded in a traditional mold like jig heads, body's or drop weights ) you will have to melt and mold it or use wire style to wrap or pound it flat with a hammer.  :violent1:
2. No traditional flies , you may use thread or line to tie things to your jig as long as there not typical fly tying things like feathers and the such.
3. You have until the the end of February to complete the jig
4. Welding is ok as long as you don't grind a welded piece em metal into a jig, get creative.

More to come if needed but it's for fun so we don't need to over complicate it.
If your not sure if something will be allowed post a picture and Insayn, one of our judges or I will let you know  ;D and yes everyone else on the forum can throw there $0.02 in if they think it shouldn't be used.
If you think something your going to modify might be considered off limits to use take a picture of it before you mod it ( see picture for example).

Clarification? Does this pertain to your event in May? What's with the teams? Did I miss something?

Not related to the TBMD. Just for fishing teams, if you look at INSAYN's post he had "Team INSAYN" so I started a team C.O.D. ( Crazy Old Dudes)
This is a team challenge no money no frills just team bragging rights.
If you want to play jump on a team (ask to join one) or start your own team and get your friends and fishing buddy's on it.

That looks like a spark plug lol.  Really cool though.  I need to motivate myself to start digging around...

You have to get a patented name. Instead of Quikfish, call it the Hickfish !

Not to sound like a snooty critique, but I just realized you put treble hooks on that crazy jig.  That is going to be a sticky ass jig that could very likely cling to the first rock it hits.  Better have a good second and third jig as backups.   ;D
