Not to sound like a snooty critique, but I just realized you put treble hooks on that crazy jig.  That is going to be a sticky ass jig that could very likely cling to the first rock it hits.  Better have a good second and third jig as backups.   ;D
I'm hoping that the "Hickfish" never touches the bottom but get swallowed up a foot or two above  the bottom by Lingzilla  :o

How did you fashion the bone hook?  That is really superb!
Looks like a soup bone....I have some antlers I'd like to craft into a hook shape (for a charm necklace...not jiggy competition) - did you use a scroll saw or dremel?

I cut the bone with a band saw an 1/8'' blade. Dremel with sanding drums and small files. Finish with wet and dry sandpaper.

That bone hook is awesome. My dad caught a 37 lb chinook on a serving spoon minus the handle. I'm working on a junkyard salmon flasher now. Just need to follow that with a junkyard lure. Where the heck is Fred Sanford when you need him!

Had some extra time today. So went through the garage and here's what I came up with. Hooks are made from 20 penny nails. The body is deer horn. The rest is baling twine, windsurfing boom grip, eyes are water Buffalo horn. And my wife's red hair. I'm ready!

I was gonna thread a jig hook through a foam ear plug. Now I'm not even gonna bother.

Be a good steelhead jig if nothing else.

I am on a team of one, but here is my first contribution.  I call it moptapus.  It is made with a double hook, pencil lead, mop strands, hog rings and paracord.  It is approximately six inches long. Guaranteed to catch a ling.
Being retired, they pay me when I go fishing, therefore I am kind of a professional fisherman.
