polepole:
I have been meaning to open this new category and with the question about Hawaii, it seemed like a good time.

I've been gathering info on various trips within the NW as well as up to AK, down to Baja, and even to Costa Rica.  I plan on adding posts over time sharing the details.

Polepole,

I've been giving some thought to the $1000+ trip to Ak...  I think I'd be willing to spend twice as much (or less of course) for a trip to Mexico or Costa Rica, maybe during the months from November to March when it gets hard to do much serious fishing in the NW.

I think that heading WAY south and going after some yellow tails or doradoes has a big appeal to me instead of spending that much cash, and especially the time off of work, going after species that are familiar to me and camping in an area that looks so similar to what I'm used to any way.  For a big N.W. style of trip, I'm thinking about trying a self guided trip to the mouth of Nootka sound or something like that.

So what's anybody got for ideas and connections down south of the border for kayak angling?

In Baja there are your typical East Cape trips which I'll post some stuff on shortly.

I have a couple contacts in Costa Rica, but have some details yet to work out with them.  Stay tuned.
