I think I am going to try to hit the salt one last time.
Anyone interested in joining me?

I was looking at Fogarty for Sunday as well. Anyone been out lately? If I can read the regs (not sure I am qualified) but looks like it is open for Chinook. I was also thinking about hitting the Nehalem around Wheeler.

I know coho is closed. Salmon regs change so much it is hard to keep track. Think I will just go for bottom fish. Other option is bay for Salmon. Planning to save that for Monday, since the ocean forecast goes to hell. I unfortunately can't do Saturday.

I plan to bottom fish Saturday out of Fogarty, or maybe depoe, if it's not crowded.

I'll be at Fogarty Saturday then hanging around to do Depoe or Fogarty on Sunday.  Doing some bottom fishing both days

I'm fishing Fogarty tomorrow for lings. Sunday looks okay, except for the south wind. Going to fish salmon in a bay that day.

Monday looks rough for any fishing, so will probably pick shrooms that day, if anything.

I’m hoping to hit Fogerty or Depoe on Sunday.  I’m busy Saturday, so I would appreciate any reports before I go.
Being retired, they pay me when I go fishing, therefore I am kind of a professional fisherman.

I was headed to Depoe this morning.
Turned around and went crabbing in Waldport instead.
I'll be there in the morning.

At the coast with the fam this weekend without time for fishing but man I was jealous of all you guys out at depoe this morning. Looked like a huge crew fishing just in the bay there.   Hopefully everyone got back off before the fog really rolled in

These fish had lockjaw.
Everyone bailed once the wind came up about 11.

I focused on lings off Fogarty this morning. Bite wasn't hot, but it was decent. Released a few 30-32 inchers and kept a 38" and 35". Water clarity was great with 20+ ft of vis, and reminded me to buy a camera that I can drop down on a line to explore the reef. South wind picked up in the late morning and brought some fog with it, making things a little messy on the way back in.

six of us out of Fogarty this morning.  a few nice ling in the group, few other ling, couple cabezon and some rockfish.  Not fast fishing, but a few around.  Very nice conditions when we launched got kind of not fun when the wind kicked up. We all called it a day by noon.

With that south wind predicted to be as strong again tomorrow, I'm going to find somewhere else to fish.  The wind chop and northward current just made for tough fishing conditions.  Stop pedaling for minute and you were 100yds from where you were.
