I was out fishing this week at Eel Lake and my pedal drive (Mirage Drive 180) started slipping and eventually just completely gave out (an hour or so into fishing on day 1 :( ) . I looked at the spine and there were no plastic teeth left on the gears. Seems like a terrible design having the metal chain just wear away at the plastic teeth.
In my brief research on my phone, I’ve hit nothing but dead ends (West Coast Sailing, Hobie’s Website, random Google search sites), seems like no places have parts or new whole pedal drives in stock. Does anybody know where to order spare parts or a new drive? I’m trying to get back up and running before our annual Merwin trip in August,
Fishing report from Eel Lake was great, got into a bunch of coho (released), trout, and a couple bass before I had to paddle back to the launch.

Somewhere on this site, there is a thread about after market metal replacement parts, that people sounded pretty happy with. Looks like you can get em on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DYDFLGH2?lv=shuf&channelId=500&plpRedirect=mhFallback&th=1&psc=1

I know a couple guys that added a stainless screw where the bottom tooth would go. They fish a lot and have never had a problem since doing that. They are not on here but I'll try to get a pic.
