I appreciate the effort and I think the goal is good.  A suggestion, write out the event name in the title instead of the acronym.

Agreed. I PM'd him, I guess we'll see how active he is on here.

My suggestion was that he delete those posts, since they're kind of useless (sorry, but I don't know what half of them mean), and write a single post/topic that has them listed out for people's edification.

Ah, I see. He went to Calendar > Post Event and it automatically created those posts. Probably better to aggregate them and not check the "post to events" box.

It is nice having stuff on the calendar, though, thank you Soaker!

Soaker is the new Chapter Coordinator for HOW-NOC.

Personally, I like the idea of using the calendar for keeping track of events coming up (I didnt even know we had one or I would have used it for our other events).  I would agree though that not having it make a new post every time would be a good idea...

Good idea Soaker!

Sorry for jamming up the inbox. I'll see if there's a stealthier way to put events in the calendar.  Also, I cleaned up the description to make it less spammy.

I posted some events where admittedly I am not the owner. If anyone wants me to take down their event dates, please let me know via PM.

Yes, using the calendar is good.  My advice, put the date in the title.  Then we'll sticky them in the Events Board and unsticky them as the events occur.

Thanks for cleaning this up, guys. At first I thought the Russians hacked us again.
