That is a big fish. I think it's legit. I remember reading an article on that fish...
Have you ever touched a spawned out salmon with your bare hands? It's probably the most disgusting thing I've ever...

I think we've talked about this fish a couple years ago.  I think someone on the board knew something about it or knew the guy in the picture since it was in NorCal.  IIRC it's totally legit.

Gross dude, gross. Haha that's pretty classic. I caught the biggest fish of my season last year...it was all spawned out and sore backed. I landed it in about 39 seconds. It was easily over thirty pounds...especially if it had more flesh haha. I tried to do a quick CnR but it died. It felt so nasty in my hand. I held it by its tail and it felt like it was going to fall apart. If I ever hook into a nasty thing like that again, I'm just going to break it off. Lesson learned.
Nice picture though. :-)

I remember as kid around 9 or 10 in the upper reaches of the Wilson with my dad and some of his buddies we came across a giant spawned out monster.  I'll never forget them saying it likely weighed much more than me at the time. I probably was only 50 lbs back in 1972...

You can only hope a fish like that was successful in propagating its genes!  Fact that it was spawned out is a good start!
