Hi Guys;

I am looking to put a relief zipper on my Whites Discovery drysuit, I located a place there in Portland at Aquatic sports. They said they could do this. I bought the drysuit suit with the boots, wax and all the paper work used from a guy back east and he used it once.($200) It fits perfect with room.

My question is anyone familiar with Aquatic sports and their business? Do they have a good reference? Or does anyone know where I could have this work done.

Thanks for any help.

I have sent them a e-mail, but have not heard back. Probably next week I hope to hear something. They are a BC/Canadian company.

Is there a reason to ask them?

Thanks

My way of thinking would be that the manufacturer would do a better job putting additional zippers on their own product.

What are they charging you to do it? I'd give next adventure a call and see who they recommend. I think OS systems will also do the work.

They are going to quote me on Monday. I will check out OS and Next Adventure. Thank you

This was my first thought, but they are located out of the country and the shipping could take a while.
Thanks

To clarify, NA won't do the work but I'm sure they can provide you with a good referral. Talk to Jake at the paddle center. I think OS will do it for about 150.

BentRod, another option for you would be to call Kim at USiA waders and drysuits here in St. Helens Oregon and see if he'll do it for you.
He makes his own waders and drysuits so I don't know if he'll touch other brands but he put on a relief zipper for someone recently for $50 (it was one of his products though). Looked like a good quality zipper too with reinforced seams. Worth a shot.
Here the shop number if you're interested: tel:503-366-0212
