Heres pictures of the ones i just finished. I didnt have time to pour lead, so i filled these with a mix of copper bb's and small split shot. They rattle nicely. Put some reflective tape on one of them. Might paint the other one white or striped.

Getting up at daylight in the morning to try them out, maybe.

Those look pretty slick! And relatively cheap to make I imagine.

They were cheap except for the hooks. The only ones i could find at the time were $2 a piece. I have found cheaper ones since then. They are 4/0 i think.
Split rings, swivels, and cotter pins are cheap. I scavenged the pipe and bb's.

The big one weighs 4.5 oz,  small one is 3.5.

I'm going to have to make a couple of these, looks fun just to make them let alone use em!
Although then I might get too emotionally attached if I were to loose one.  :(

Well i got to try them out for a few minutes today. They are not quite heavy enough  for when the wind is blowing. Too much sideways drag. I think if they were filled with lead instead of bb's they would be heavy enough, or if it wasnt so windy and i could stay still. The swell was also pretty big and it was really choppy, so i had a hard time bouncing them on the bottom when my kayak is going up and down about 8 feet. I ended up losing the jig after about 5 minutes. I switched to another lure and ended up with a keeper ling and black.
