Some warm water fishing

Here is a snook I caught from the shore due to thunderstorms and wind, I did not want to be out on the gulf. Needed to be able to have a quick escape, and the kayak escape is not very quick. Should have some more pics buy weeks end.

Down in Boca Grande Florida on the gulf of mexico.

Yo, nice looking fish!

Here is my second snook, I had no one to take the picture. Shes about 30+ in long and around 15pounds she was a fighter. Today is suppost to be calm so going to try my luck at some tarpon, they are about 300yrds off of our condo about a 1/4 mile from boca grande pass.

Sounds like a great place to be right now. In a condo near the water. Are those good eating?

They are suppost to be but due to freeze a few yrs ago you cannot keep them. The freeze killed alot of them off, this is the first yr I have seen them in large numbers since the freeze.

Bet that thing hauled you around for a bit! Great catch! Are they good eating?

Some say yes, they're good, others say hell no. I'll let you know soon as i'vegot enuff meat to try it several ways.

Tried some king nuggets ,marinated in vinegar, oil,
Pepper, garlic and lemon pepper, breaded and deep fried. No leftovers so guess I've debunked some of the naysayers. Art
